Volume at EDX falls 43% since last year


Derivatives trading volumes on EDX, the London Stock Exchange’s derivatives bourse, fell by 43% year on year in April. The platform’s trading volumes fell behind those of the Italian Derivatives Exchange Market, the LSE’s Italian subsidiary.

EDX’s volumes fell to 3.1m and Idem’s volumes by 34% to 3.7m.

Derivatives trading across the group was 6.77m, down 38% year on year. The figures were up slightly on a poor March, when 6.3m contracts changed hands.
