CBOE’s IPO vote overshadowed by $300m lawsuit


The Chicago Board Options Exchange, the US’s leading options platform, faces a $300m lawsuit from the International Securities Exchange over claims that it infringed ISE’s technology patents.

The Eurex-owned ISE has filed for $300m of damages against its Chicago rival, claiming the CBOE copied its combined floor and screen trading system. It first alleged such an infringement in 2006.
