Reuters buys carbon analytics firmThomson Reuters, the New York-based global media and data firm, has secured a deal to buy Point Carbon, a provider of trading analytics, news and content for the energy and environmental markets, for an undisclosed sum.The Norwegian firm offers information and modelling capabilities to governments and the financial community across the carbon, utilities, oil, gas and industrial markets. Point Carbon content will be available through Reuters’ Eikon, the firm’s new desktop offering, to be launched later this year.
