Kospi 200 options hit record
A record volume of 37.4m Kospi 200 options were traded at the Korea Exchange today, which was the last trading day in the front month contract. The exchange attributed the volume surge to investor demand to liquidate positions.
Trading in single stock futures at the exchange also hit a record—386,000 contracts were traded, which had a notional value of 194.2 Korean won.
