Dalian volumes slip 55% year on year
Some 19.1m futures contracts were traded on the Dalian Commodity Exchange in June, a fall of 55% from last June and 24% from May. During the first half of this year 245m contracts were traded, down 17% on the year before. Cash turnover fell 8%.
In China as a whole, trading volume in the first half of this year was 685m contracts, a 63% rise year on year, according to the China Futures Industry Association.
