New Chicago exchange to launch swaps futures on Monday 23 Jul 2010

Five US trading firms have created a new exchange in Chicago, offering interest rate swap futures. Eris Exchange will go live on Monday July 26, the backers said on Friday.

Eris Exchange is the brainchild of DRW Trading, Getco, Infinium Capital Management, Nico Holdings and Chicago Trading Co, all of which will use the new exchange.

The trading venue will offer futures on interest rate swaps, which will be cleared...
