CME revenue rises 29%
Second quarter revenues at CME Group rose 29% year on year to $814m. Operating margin was 63%, up from 62% in the same period last year.
Net income in the second quarter was $271m, up 22% year on year, and diluted earnings a share were $4.11, up 23%.
There was a $20.5m goodwill writedown on Credit Market Analysis, a subsidiary of CME.
Of CME total revenue, $684m came from clearing and transaction fees, $102m from market data and information services and $11.2m from access and communication fees.
