Benning and Klimpel join NYPCJoseph Benning has become chief risk officer of New York Portfolio Clearing and Laura Klimpel chief compliance officer and counsel. Benning started on June 1 and Klimpel on August 2.NYPC is a joint venture between the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation and NYSE Euronext, expected to be launched later this year.Walter Lukken, chief executive officer of NYPC, said in a statement: “Given the continued emphasis among public policymakers, regulators and market participants on systemic risk management and compliance, especially following recent Congressional action on financial services reform, we are fortunate to have attracted such exceptional and knowledgeable professionals as Joseph and Laura.
