Safex to launch oil, gold and platinum options
Safex, the derivatives arm of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, is set to launch options on oil, gold and platinum, TRADEfees reports. The bourse began listing futures on the contracts earlier this year.
The options, launching on Friday August 20, supplement the bourse’s growing offerings, which have until recently been limited to equity and agricultural derivatives.
Separately, the bourse will also list equity and dividend futures on McDonalds, beginning today (August 18).
Chicago and Detroit join LME steel network
The London Metal Exchange has approved Chicago and Detroit as points of delivery for its steel billet contract.
