NYSE Liffe introduces US Treasury Futures
NYSE Liffe US has introduced two year, five year and 10 year US Treasury futures, as well as US Bond and Ultra Bond futures contracts.
The new contracts complement its Eurodollar Futures contract, which was launched on March 21 and recorded nearly 190,000 trades in the first week.
The new interest rate futures are cleared by New York Portfolio Clearing, which the company said would enable customers to get the combined value of trading on NYSE Liffe US with the correlated one-pot margining available to NYPC users.
US Treasury futures will also follow a smooth delivery process for the netting of futures and cash securities.
