Chris Smith joined FOi on May 3 as editor, to lead the online news and data service into a new phase of its development, Jon Hay writes.
Chris is an experienced journalist who has covered a wide range of political and business topics. He was most recently news editor of The MJ, the leading trade publication for UK local government.
Jon Hay, managing editor of FOi since launch in September 2008, and of its sister publication FOW magazine, is leaving the group next week. He will take up a new job within Euromoney Institutional Investor, as corporate finance editor of EuroWeek, where he was previously editor.
