TMX Group reveals talks with mystery suitor prior to LSE deal

Canadian TMX Group has revealed it was also in merger discussions with an unnamed party for nearly a year before agreeing on a deal with the London Stock Exchange.

The group said the talks failed to reach an agreement amid regulatory concerns as well as disagreements over the value of the exchange.
