Tech on Tuesday: TT opens gateway to Japan


A global provider of derivatives trading software has launched a gateway to the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), enabling faster access to Japanese exchanges.

The move is part of Trading Technologies International (TT) growth strategy for the wider Asia/Pacific region.

With the launch of the new TSE link, TT now provides access to all major Japanese derivatives markets, including Osaka Securities Exchange (OSE), Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom), Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE), Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX) and TSE.

“We are very pleased that Trading Technologies has connected its electronic trading system to the new TSE platform.

“TT has a very strong Japanese client base as well as deep global market penetration, so we expect this new connection will be beneficial to the exchange,” said Akira Tagaya, TSE market business development.

The TSE gateway directly connects TT’s X_TRADER derivatives trading platform and related electronic trading products to the exchange....
