Lukken takes helm at FIA


Walter Lukken will replace John Damgard as president of the Futures Industry Association (FIA), the lobbying group that has had a key role in attempts to revise aspects of the Dodd-Frank Act in Washington.

Lukken, a Republican who was appointed to the Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner in 2002 and became chairman in 2007,  is currently chief executive of New York Portfolio Clearing whih is a joint venture between NYSE Euronext and the Depository Trust & clearing Corporation.
